The Role of Book Publicity

CFF Presents “The Role of Book Publicity with Jessie Glenn” on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. All CFF members are invited to register for this online event.

From completed manuscript to book release, Jessie Glenn will explain how a full-service book publicity and public relations company works alongside publishers, distributors, authors, media outlets and individual reviewers to get critical coverage for books and authors. Jessie will describe services such as traditional publicity, social media campaigns, website design, media training, and event and awards management, that can assist both experienced and prospective writers reach their goals.

Jessie Glenn, Director, Mindbuck Media, has two decades of experience working with small, medium, and large traditional publishers, and a thorough understanding of 21st century publishing and distribution. Their publicity work has been highlighted in Poets & Writers, AWP, numerous "Ask the Expert" articles and broadcast media outlets. Jessie’s own essays have been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, Salon, and elsewhere.

Ken Schept, CFF president, will serve as moderator.

The Zoom webinar link will be emailed to registered members a couple of days prior to the event. This event is open to members of the Columbia Fiction Foundry, a Columbia University alumni group, and Columbia University affiliates. Please enter your school and class year on the registration form.
