Panelists Details

Two of the three panelists for the Gatekeeper to the Gatekeepers program are actively seeking clients to represent. Here are panelists contact details and their wishlist statements.

Chloe Knapp - [email protected]
Literary assistant to Barbara Jones at Stuart Krichevsky Literary Agency (literary and up-market
Fiction), and Betsy Lerner at Dunow, Carlson & Lerner (Non-Fiction)

"I want to work with authors who challenge how I think about the world and who explore human motivation and intention. I’m looking to represent authors of fantasy, speculative fiction, magical realism, historical fiction, historical reimaginings, psychological thrillers, sci-fi, cultural criticism, and select non-fiction. Recently, I can’t get enough of stories set outside the U.S., and books where the setting functions as a character. I’m always looking for travel and food inspiration."

Giuliana Vasile - [email protected]
Junior agent and office manager at Dunow, Carlson & Lerner, reads queries addressed to fifteen agents

"I’m actively looking for romance and romantic-y books, but I really read eclectically in the fiction space, so if it's anything genre-related, especially with magical realism, it's something I'd be interested in. So, please feel free to reach out."

Laura Gruszka - [email protected]
Junior agent and literary assistant at Writers House Literary Agency, assists senior agent, Rebecca
Sherman, who specializes in picture books

"I'm currently closed to queries and focused on my existing client list. I will reopen. Sorry, but I don't know when that's going to be. I am doing all children's books, picture books through YA, though I'm not working on text-only picture books, and I'm also dabbling a bit in adult, in the literary, horror, genre blending. For additional details, please consult my manuscript wish list."
