On Saturday, October 5, Columbia Fiction Foundry hosted our annual Open House. Folks gathered at the Alumni Center in NYC for pastries, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and conversation.
It was a gorgeous, sunny fall day and we had a great turnout, as Columbia alumni reconnected with old friends and met new ones. Recent grads mingled with fiction-writing journalists, while young professionals juggling day jobs chatted with novel-writing college professors, as just a few examples of the diverse, lively conversations happening around the room.
Creating spaces for writers to meet in a friendly, social setting is one way CFF strives to provide a community of fellowship for Columbia fiction writers. Our writing workshops, which are free and open to anyone with a Columbia affiliation, is another.
As we launch into fall, we invite new members to sign up for our mailing list, and look forward to welcoming new and old members to sign up for one of our workshops and to participate in all that CFF has to offer!
