On Saturday, October 14, Columbia Fiction Foundry hosted our second annual Open House. The event was combined with a hybrid in-person/Zoom Annual Meeting at the newly refurbished Alumni Center at 622 West 113th Street. Members new and old gathered for bagels, pastry, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and conversation.
The vibe was friendly and generous, and people were eager to be with one another to talk writing and the writing life. It was great to meet many newcomers, who we hope to see at our workshops soon. It was also fun to reconnect with long standing members, many of whom we haven’t seen in person since last year’s Open House.
People expressed the wish for more in-person workshops, so this is something we’ll work on for 2024. In the meantime, our next in-person/hybrid Zoom workshop will take place at the Alumni Center on December 2nd from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00. We hope to see you there!
